The fine line between “information” and “disinformation”

After Gaurav Srivastava discovered Niels Troost was continuing to trade Russian oil after it was sanctioned, he reported these violations to the authorities. Troost was subsequently sanctioned by the EU, UK, Switzerland and Monaco.

However, Troost has claimed - and this claim has been parroted by Tom Wilson, Senior Energy Correspondent for the Financial Times, that this constitutes a “disinformation campaign” against him.
